STARR KL

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

These are the terms for using the STARR KL app and being a STARR KL member. By creating an account, you agree to them. We've kept this plain and readable — it's a nightclub app, not a bank.

1. Membership

STARR KL membership is invite or approval based — you can't just sign up and get in. Creating an app account does not by itself guarantee membership status or entry to the club; STARR decides who becomes a member.

You must be at least 18 years old to enter STARR KL and to hold a membership. STARR staff may ask for ID at the door, and we can refuse entry to anyone who can't prove they meet the age requirement. The legal drinking age in Malaysia is 21.

2. Entry to the club

Being a member or holding a booking does not guarantee entry on any given night. STARR KL can refuse entry at its discretion — for capacity, dress code, behaviour, safety, or any other reasonable reason, in line with how nightclubs normally operate.

3. Table bookings and deposits

The app does not take payments. It never asks for a card number, it stores no payment details, and tapping anything in it cannot charge you. A table deposit is transferred by you, from your own banking app, to the club's bank account — the details are shown to you on the booking screen.

4. Points and rewards

Points cannot be bought. They are earned only on what the club records against your account. Redeeming a reward issues you a single-use voucher with a QR code; the bar scans it once and it is then spent. Vouchers have an expiry, shown on the voucher itself, and have no cash value.

5. Your party and guest passes

When you book a table, you can invite other STARR members to join you and issue guest passes to people who aren't members. Each guest pass is a single-use QR code tied to your booking. Guest passes are for people you're genuinely bringing to the club — they're not to be sold, given to strangers, or used to get more people in than your table allows.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Suspension and termination

STARR KL can suspend or terminate your membership and app account if we reasonably believe you've breached these terms — for example, abuse of guest passes, fraudulent bookings, or disruptive behaviour at the club. Where practical we'll try to let you know why, but for serious or repeated abuse we may act without advance notice.

8. Your account

You're responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, since that's how you sign in. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

You can delete your account at any time from Account settings in the app. This permanently removes your data — see Delete your account for exactly what goes and what does not, and our Privacy Policy for how we handle it. If you have an upcoming confirmed booking, you'll need to sort that out with the club before deleting your account.

9. Changes to the app or these terms

We may update the app, these terms, or how membership works from time to time. If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes will be handled under Malaysian law, in Kuala Lumpur.
